The charm of Alsace

The charm of Alsace is linked to the richness of its cultural heritage. Castels, churches, museums compete with the beautiful half-timbered houses.



Particularly preserved, this heritage is completely integrated in our modern life style and that's why it still remains nowadays. Picturesque villages, romantic ruines on top of the hilly Vosges mountains, beautiful small alleys meandering through ancient quarters, prestigious museums collections...



The city of Colmar

Located in the centre of Alsace, between the 2 other important industrials towns which are Strasbourg and Mulhouse, Colmar is really worth to see.



Lots of monuments can be seen in Colmar and the typical quarters are very well preserved. Colmar has a few interesting museums. D'ont miss the illumination of the buildings every night, during summer time...



The Tanneurs quarter

This block of houses was owned by craftsmen in the XVI century because it was located on the canal and the water was running out of town in order to avoid pollution and the smells of the leather hides treatment.

You will find very nice half-timbered houses with their granary under the roof.

Le Koïfhus

It has been for years the economical and political heart of the city.


An arm of the river, the Lauch, just beside the building was allowing to load and unload the boats...
